Logan District Scout group has certainly been the place to be in 2010. All groups have had some awesome camps, adventures and good scouting. Groups are working together more to organise bigger, and more variety in events...so that means 2011 is going to be a real blast.
20th May is the District Joey Camp. Joeys usually have an awesome time at these events. When you take an event and make it as big as this, plus they'll meet up with other Joeys from all over the district.
4th and 5th June is the get together of the Leaders in the District.

14th May was the District Scout Section Camp. Lots of activities and some good Pioneer badgework too.

Logan District and all the Scout Formations in the area are run by Volunteers. In support of the youth of Logan there is lots of different tasks to do, either a little or a lot as you want. Leaders, Assistants, Helpers, Treasurers, Quartermasters, Fundraising, Promotion, Maintenance, and many support tasks are required to make the best Scouting. Some positions even let you advance through government certified training with the Scouting Australia Institute of Training.
If you are community minded and want to give something to your community, try scouting, as it gives many opportunities.
